About.

Welcome!  I'm Megan Landmeier, and along with taking photographs, I stay busy as a mom to two little girls, wife to my husband Matt, and until recently, teaching elementary school.

I began learning about photography when my oldest daughter was born and I spent long hours in the NICU next to her.  I've since grown to love outdoor portraits and taking family photos.  What began as favors for friends has grown into a business I love - helping families preserve their memories.  I enjoy helping you select photos to display in your living space and designing photo books and holiday cards.  Holding hard copies of photographs brings me great joy, and my closet has boxes of childhood photos featuring my grandparents just waiting to be added to my gallery walls.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about session pricing, special requests, or unique concerns.  I am a National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certified special education teacher and I have my own child with Down syndrome, so I'm happy to adjust for your child's specific sensory or other needs.

My favorite photographs to take are close ups against bright backgrounds, backlight portraits in golden light, kids playing on the playground, window-lit newborn babies in their mama's arms and families laughing together.

Along with photography, I love to run and read, and sometimes both at the same time thanks to audiobooks.  Other loves of mine include coffee, chocolate, Instagram and the beach.

7 months pregnant, attempting low angle.
